The contest, which was expected to draw massive attention from fans and supporters of the three schools, was postponed following disturbances caused by some students of Adisadel College and Mfantsipim School. The situation prompted security concerns and forced the organizers, Primetime Limited, to suspend the contest indefinitely.
Reports indicate that the organizers did not implement adequate security measures ahead of the event, making it difficult to control the agitated crowds. Security personnel were later deployed to restore calm and ensure the safety of participants, officials, and spectators.

In a statement, Primetime announced that the contest has been rescheduled for tomorrow. However, the exact time will be communicated privately to the school coordinators. The new arrangement will see the contest held behind closed doors, with access restricted to contestants, coordinators, the Primetime Production Team, and the Quiz Team.
Meanwhile, Prempeh College students have been praised for their calmness and discipline throughout the incident. They were not involved in any of the disturbances and remained composed as the situation unfolded.
The incident has raised concerns about crowd control and security at NSMQ events, which continue to attract passionate supporters from across the country
