Accra, Ghana — The 2025 edition of the Ghana Universities Debate Championship (GUDC) hosted by Accra Technical University (ATU) has continued to thrill audiences with unmatched intellectual energy and youthful vibrance.
From the very first debate round, the atmosphere has been nothing short of electric. The opening rounds — one, two, and three — set a high bar for excellence as teams from across the country engaged in thought-provoking debates on national and global issues.

By Wednesday, the championship reached new heights with rounds four, five, and six. Each round displayed sharper arguments, stronger teamwork, and a remarkable command of logic and rhetoric. Alongside the debates, participants also showcased their oratory prowess in the Public Speaking sessions, where rounds one and two were filled with eloquence, confidence, and powerful storytelling.

The energy continued into Thursday, with rounds seven, eight, and nine of the debates pushing every team to their limits in pursuit of a coveted semifinal slot. The day culminated in a spectacular Break Night at Laboma Beach, where participants set aside their competition spirit to unwind, socialize, and celebrate their achievements under the night sky.

It was during this lively beach event that the most anticipated announcement of the championship was made — the universities that had qualified for the semifinals. The announcement was met with cheers, excitement, and heartfelt camaraderie among the 14 participating institutions, turning the evening into one of joy and unity.

The GUDC 2025 continues to prove that it is far more than a contest of words — it is a celebration of connection, growth, and the transformative power of ideas. NOW THE QUESTION IS , WHICH UNIVERSITY WILL WIN GUDC 2025???????????????/
