The Electoral Commission (EC) of the SRC announced provisional results showing that Boombo Yie secured a commanding 4,060 votes, making him the clear winner in this year’s elections.
The election was characterized by high student turnout and peaceful conduct, reflecting the strong democratic spirit within the university community. Boombo Yie’s campaign message, “Student First, Progress Always,” strongly resonated with voters across all faculties.
In his address after the EC’s announcement, Boombo Yie expressed gratitude to the student body:
“This victory is for all of us. Thank you for trusting me. I am committed to transparency, unity, and real solutions that make life better for every student,” he stated.
The EC emphasized that the announced results are provisional and subject to confirmation, but based on the overwhelming lead, Boombo Yie is expected to be officially declared the winner after the verification process
