Accra, Ghana – August 9, 2025 – In the lead-up to the highly anticipated Computer Science Students Association (COMPSSA) elections at Accra Technical University (ATU), presidential aspirant Kiddo Junior has unveiled an ambitious plan to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world tech skills.

Kiddo Junior, a passionate computer science student, believes too many graduates leave university with theoretical knowledge but lack practical experience. This, he says, limits their competitiveness in Ghana’s growing technology sector.
“We are learning important things in class, but we must also learn how to use them in real life. The future of Ghana’s tech industry depends on students who can innovate, collaborate, and lead,” Kiddo stated.
The Vision for a New COMPSSA
If elected as COMPSSA president, Kiddo Junior plans to implement:
- Monthly Tech Challenges – Encouraging students to create real-life solutions using code.
- Skill-Sharing Sessions – Peer-to-peer learning on AI, Web Development, Cybersecurity, and more.
- Industry Networking Events – Bringing in tech leaders and startup founders to mentor students.
- Open-Source Collaboration – Involving students in global and local software projects.
Why It Matters
According to Kiddo, computer science graduates who combine technical skills with teamwork, problem-solving, and industry exposure will have a greater chance of securing high-value jobs or starting their own ventures.
“The future is in our hands. Let’s not just study it — let’s build it,” he added.
