Ghanaian comedian and content creator Emmanuel Awane, popularly known as Mr. Laughter, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) International Relations Secretary (IRS).

Announcing his candidacy, Mr. Laughter says his decision is driven by a desire to serve, represent and amplify the voice of Ghanaian students beyond the country’s borders.
His campaign is centered on the theme “Representation Without Borders,” with a focus on building meaningful international connections and creating opportunities for Ghanaian students to have a stronger presence on the global stage.

Mr. Laughter believes the position requires more than just a title, but a person who can connect with people, communicate effectively and represent the interests of students wherever they may be.
In his campaign message, he stated: “I made you laugh. Now, I am ready to make you heard.”
He further emphasized that the journey is about bold representation, meaningful connections and service with purpose, while calling on students to join him as he begins his campaign.
With his background as a comedian, content creator and public figure, Mr. Laughter is hoping to bring his communication skills, youthful energy and wide reach into student leadership.

His campaign message remains simple: No borders. No limits. Just representation.
