The tragic incident occurred when a large crowd of applicants rushed to gain entry into the stadium for the ongoing recruitment process. The sudden surge led to chaos, resulting in multiple casualties.
Yvonne, a student from the Building Technology Department, was reported to have been among those who collapsed during the incident. Emergency teams rushed to the scene to provide assistance, but unfortunately, six individuals were pronounced dead.
The Accra Technical University community has been thrown into mourning following the news. students, and friends have described Yvonne as a hardworking and determined young woman whose dreams have been cut short.
