The University of Ghana has asked applicants for the 2026/2027 undergraduate admission cycle to return to the admissions portal and verify the information submitted on their applications.

The directive follows the release of the 2026 WASSCE results and was contained in a notice issued by the University’s Academic Affairs Directorate on September 5, 2026.
The University wants applicants to ensure that their application information accurately reflects their official examination records.
What Applicants Should Check
Applicants are expected to carefully review several important details on their applications.
These include:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- WASSCE index number
- Examination month
- Examination year
- Examination records and results
Applicants should compare the information displayed on their application with their official WASSCE details.
Why the Check Is Important
Accurate examination and personal information is an important part of the university admission process.
An error in an applicant’s name, index number, examination information or results could create difficulties when the University processes applications.
For this reason, applicants should not assume that information previously entered into the portal is automatically correct.
Applicants Should Also Review Programme Choices
Beyond checking personal information, applicants are being encouraged to review their selected programmes and compare their WASSCE performance with the relevant University of Ghana admission requirements.
Programme requirements and cut-off aggregates vary, meaning that meeting the general admission requirements does not necessarily guarantee admission into every programme.
September 8 Deadline
Applicants have been urged to complete their checks and finalise their applications before the portal closes at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
Students who have received their WASSCE results are therefore encouraged to log into the official application portal as soon as possible and confirm that all submitted information is correct.
