Espan’s decision to step down from the UGBS presidency has attracted attention within the university community, particularly given how shortly after his swearing-in the resignation occurred.
However, the political partnership between Espan and Lomazah has suffered a major setback after their campaign team was reportedly disqualified from the SRC presidential race over issues relating to the candidates’ cumulative grade point average (CGPA).
The development comes as the University of Ghana’s SRC election process intensifies, with candidates and their respective teams positioning themselves ahead of the polls.
The disqualification over CGPA requirements has now cast uncertainty over the political future of the Espan-Lomazah team, following Espan’s decision to leave his newly assumed leadership position at UGBS to support the SRC bid
