Guru elected as University of Ghana SRC President

Ghanaian musician Maradona Adjei Yeboah, popularly known as Guru, has been elected President of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) at the University of Ghana. His victory came after weeks of campaigning filled with challenges, including disqualifications and legal battles.

Guru, alongside his running mate Jeffery Adu-Yeboah, secured 50.7% of the vote, receiving 9,455 votes. The total voter turnout for the election was 18,659 students.

The election process, despite its hurdles, ended with Guru emerging as the choice of the student body.
